Learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones
Build self confidence. When you are sure of your ability to protect yourself it will become evident in every aspect your life.
Build self discipline. It takes motivation and dedication to practice. Forcing yourself to do it, be on time, even when you might not feel like it, builds self discipline. Also called character.
Build self respect. Committing to studying anything will give you a better image of yourself. Carrying out that commitment multiplies the effect considerably.
Build self awareness and street awareness. Learning to defend yourself requires you to understand just what - and who - you are defending against. The longer you learn the more acutely aware of yourself and your surroundings you will become.
Should I take group or private lessons?
Private lessons will increase your progression two to three times faster than by taking group lessons alone. The personalized attention and energy of an instructor is a tremendous advantage. If you are interested in taking private lessons please talk to the chief instructor. Group lessons are good because it allows you to see how different people react to situations and techniques. You also get to meet new people and friends.
